Who we are

The Assottica Contactology Group is a trade association belonging to Confindustria which for more than twenty years has actively operated to promote , among the population and all interested organizations and institutions, the knowledge of the various potentialities of contact lenses, as well as of the advantages assured to their wearers in the different fields of social life, such as school, work and free time. It has also been actively involved informing customers on the use and application of contact lenses and organizing different sensitizing events. The Contactology Group also cooperates with the sector organizations and experts in order to promote the development of the market as well as to improve the understanding of the eye health.

Assottica’s mission


The Assottica Contactology Group provides its own associates with a constant up-to-the-minute information regarding legislative and economic matters; it collects and processes statistical and market data as well as gives information on all different topics which may interest and involve customers and experts. Thanks to these activities the The Assottica Contactology Group is able to have a clear and objective vision of the sector and of its problems.

Its commitment is not only limited to the Italian context: the The Assottica Contactology Group is in fact fully aware of the importance to be integrated and to interact with all the other European interlocutors, such as the Euromcontact Federation and the other national associations of the sector.
